It feels like recently there is so much more evidence about Richard III being a good guy becoming public knowledge, especially since the discovery of his tomb. Shakespeare so maligned him. I don't think he was half as bad as people used to say. Yeah the whole missing princes from the tower thing is a little sketchy, but they could never actually pin it on the man. Great piece!!! Thank you so much for participating!
Thank you! & I absolutely love Richard III and think he's been done such a disservice by Shakespeare and Thomas More. When you actually look at the man and his values, i don't believe he was a saint but i do think he was so genuine, honest and loyal! The princes thing is certainly shady but I don't think Richard had a hand in it - if so, he would have produced the bodies. Missing bodies just serves as a rallying point for rebellions and false princes. The lack of bodies makes it seem to me that neither Richard III or Henry VII had anything to do with it. (Sorry for the rant, I get so excited when someone mentions anything regarding Richard to me haha!)
