So, I will say that this was quite a first chapter. It was sad somewhat and I didn't know what to expect as it wasn't a predictable tale in the least. When those individuals in white came to the old woman, I thought they'd do away with her. However, that ending was extremely unexpected and I'm looking forward to the next update!
Thank you so much for the feedback! However, this was only meant to be a one-shot so there are no future chapters. It's an old short story I wrote to pass a Science Fiction class and modesty aside, it got me a great final grade.
