The journey from the Council's lab to 1988 Las Vegas, through the laundromat and the warehouse, to that final mountain climb with Detective Fletcher - Lunarose's mission spans decades of loneliness, and the ending with Lionel saying "we face the future together" feels earned after all she sacrificed.
