The way you capture the small details of the first day - the bus ride, the clove for nausea, the boy with the pug-like face who will later matter - makes the story feel lived-in, and the final line about him becoming the person who stopped her motion sickness is a quiet promise of something developing.

@Bella Ravenwood, Smyrna's first day at her new school was both hectic and exciting. New people, new teachers and even the little bus rides all felt like stepping into a completely new world. Her first encounter with Arin and the little moments of teamwork and friendly teasing during football, gave her a boost of confidence. Conversations with Advika over homework and small talk showed that Smyrna was slowly finding her place and starting to adjust to this new environment. This scene perfectly captures the nerves of a first day and the magic of forming new friendships, instantly making the reader connect with her. Do you think Smyrna will quickly develop a strong friendship with Arin, or will there be a few bumps along the way first?
