對於棋風的描寫很細膩，透過棋風展現角色性格。主角是「蠻橫進攻」，少女則是「縝密佈陣」，烘托出少女雖然身體病弱與精神世界強大的鮮明對比。

序章採用了倒敘法成功引起了小生對男女主角前事的興趣，文中對西洋棋的解說生動，令不懂棋法的的小生亦看得津津有味。不用心急去寫，小的期待看到凝練的精品，加油。
