Yeah, I remember in school I was taught that my generation was supposed to be the one to solve climate change, as if I had more ability to enact change as a child going to school than an adult with a salary and financial independence could...

Edit: Not to say that teachers are 'financially independent" they do get paid poorly, rather they have more of an ability to chose what they will buy compared to a child in school
