I really like this. The idea of this recluse who buries herself in raising plants because they can't hurt her the way people can is brilliant. And the execution is really nice, too; reading this, I get a sense of a melancholy atmosphere and the feeling of being lost in time. Overall, this is a really solid one-shot. I feel like, if you wanted to, you could expand this into a full-length story about how exactly she came to be this way -- but it works very nicely as a short, stand-alone piece, too, implying enough to let the reader fill in any gaps with their own imagination.
