文中寫到，然而這一切的肇因究竟是什麼？=>指的應該是"異常"的出現原因，或是執鞭者變成處刑人的原因，然而接下來卻是解說主角的故事，會讓人誤以為作者要透露肇因，建議做出明顯的分段。作者自己知道自己想表達什麼，但讀者不一定能接收到，萬一誤解了，就會以為"異常"的出現原因是乙夏成為執鞭長的過程中引發或造成"異常者"的出現。
