Regarding motivation, sometimes I think we tend to focus too much on the story plot and run out of motivation to write when we cannot think of a good story line (this happen to me sometimes). Sometimes focusing on character development - traits, personalities, ambition, how the character will react to a situation etc. might help to develop the story line. After all, people care about what happens to the character the most in a fiction setting. Just some thoughts :)
Thanks! That's great advice. Unfortunately, for Discover I developed the characters very well. It was the lack of plot that really killed the story and motivation for me. I had an idea of where it would go, but then I had issues with the overall impression. I might reuse these characters in another story. Just with different names.
However, I'll definitely try this advice for my next project. Thank you!
