Um, we'll probably explain this better later, but I'll go ahead and explain it better here.If a chosen person is first killed, they will gain powers based on what killed them/what they died from. They can only die once, though.But since he killed a demon, (chosen people aren't supposed to kill), he died, making it the demon's fault (reason of death) and that's why he gained incredible power.I hope this better explains it. Maybe I'll have a rule section, kind of like what Death Note does? Sorry that it's confusing.

Yeah, you could probably have Death Note rules, it'd add a sort of guideline to the world's lore.
