Hot dang! This was an absolutely great read. I was bummed it was so short. I really feel like you could expand on this story further. It has a lot of really intriguing concepts. I felt bad for Gypsy, though. However, the way you described the end really nailed the atmosphere. Fantastic job!

I'm so glad you lived it so much!

Short and sweet is how I like it, but it could be expanded. Since this was for a contest, I could only work within a set word limit which I think worked well 😁

I felt so bad killing off her like that, but she was a good dog

However, as tragic as it was, it's what really sold the story for me. It's what transformed this from an interesting story to a great story.
