This story does a great job of pulling the reader into the character’s mind! The way their thoughts spiral and the obsession with cleanliness is really intense and well-written. It’s unsettling in the best way, making you feel their anxiety and desperation. It hits hard with its raw and unfiltered look at obsession and control. The way the character continuously attempts to alleviate himself, never feeling clean enough, is painfully real, like you can feel their exhaustion and frustration through the words. The repetition makes it almost claustrophobic, trapping the reader in their cycle, which is so effective. The ending leaves a lingering weight, making you wonder if they’ll ever find relief. It’s a deep, honest portrayal of a mind at war with itself. Really powerful writing! Definitely a thought-provoking read!
Also, if the pacing varies a little, maybe some moments of stillness before diving back into the compulsions, it might make the overwhelming moments hit even harder. But overall, it’s a gripping, brutally honest piece that really sticks with the reader!
