Five years ago, we were just two dumb kids who held hands and shared secret smiles and believed we were in a world of our own.
There was a feel to our love then. The sensation of being innocent 12 yrs unconcerned with anything else except smiling at each other while the teacher was writing on the book and sharing little things like pens and erasers. Looking back I wished we had known better, but I still think it might have been a sort of preparation for those who would later come into our lives and disrupt the entirety of our emotions.
Seeing you with her doesn't hurt like it would've if we had decided to 'confess' our love to each other. And so I am grateful. That five years ago, we were just two dumb kids, who could live in a sweet, untainted world.
