"Check, one-two-three. Ok, having an interview here with a guy going by the name Shadow. It is now July 19th 2021, 6.04pm here in Hamburg, Germany." The woman sets her recorder on the table while facing the dark haired man.
The interviewer crosses her arms. "So, you go by the name Shadow, how did you come by that name?"
The man chuckles softly. "I wasn't given a name like so many others do. I made it mine and it's my favourite name but I go by many others."
"What are the other names?" She asked.
"What many tend to call me for my actions, a monster, a demon, you know that sort." Shadow answered calmly and paused. "But honestly what do you expect? You humans never change. Even after centuries and no matter if in this world or from mine."
"From a different world, as in planet?"
"If you like to call it like that dearie. It's called Bhernia and looks similar like your world did during the midieval period but additional magic and creatures in it, myself included." Shadow cackles.
The interviewer clears her throat. "Erm, how so yourself included?"
"Well, let's just say, I wasn't born in flesh and blood. And what you see is only an appearance made easy for you. I'm not human, however have human origin." Shadow pauses. "I am what you call a spirit. I was born from the emotions of betrayal and frustration of desceased souls."
The interviewer gave no sound.
Shadow gives a content hum. "I take your silence that you are aware of how serious this is. Despite in human form of a man's I tend to show my true self through dark complexion as in dark grey with blood red eyes. Yes the blood I've spilt of so many souls to achieve my goals. You see dearie, this round tattoo on the back of my hand is my signature. In fact this body you see isn't mine to start with, I'm only borrowing it or better said possessing the body."
"But if you're possessing the body, do you feel some restrain from the other soul?"
"In a possession it always gets a bit crowded but the trick to gain space and control is through making a deal or distract them."
"Pardon me saying but that sounds like how a demon would do it." Noted the interviewer.
"Tsk, tsk dearie. Mind your words. Do you know how a demon possesses someone?"
There was silence for a moment.
"Honestly, what is the difference? Possession is possession. What matters me is the power of knowledge and I do anything to get it. No challenge or obstacle is too great to face. And that is why I led you hear, dearie. You have something that will be of great use to me."
"What? You're kidding, right?"
"Shall I give you a demonstration what you'll get in return?" Shadow speaks softly.
The interviewer gives out a shuddered gasp. "How? How did you do that? Sitting across the room yet I heard your voice whispering in my ear."
Shadow sighs. Suddenly there's rapid woosh sound that ended with a thud. "I get the feeling you aren't taking me seriously, dearie." He sneered amused. "You know to possess you, all it takes is one touch. Hmm, and you volunteered from the moment you and I shook hands to greet."
The interviewer gave a shuddered gasp.
Suddenly the recording stopped.
"Is this for real?" Wondered one man to the other after listening the recording in the office after work. They got word the recording was found in an abandoned building where the interviewer said she'd be for the interview. That was few months ago and she is still missing...
