I wasn't giving a chance to fully wake up before my room door burst open.
'Kammy guess who is here'? I heard my sister ask loudly.
'What? ' I asked, my face twisted in confusion. 'Can you not shout' I added weakly.
'Get downstairs' she said before leaving and slamming the door shut making me hold my head with both hands groaning in pain.
Not getting enough sleep last night like in the past few weeks , coupled with the banging sound going on in my head made me fatigued.
Whoever was downstairs wasn't exciting to me. Nothing excited me anymore, even seeing my favorite tv show playing on Tv annoyed me. You may be wondering what my problem was, everything was.
Staring at my reflection after I had had a shower, I noticed the circles underneath my eyes had gotten darker.
To prevent more questions, I put a little concealer on it. Going down the stairs I heard voices chatting back and forth .
' She's going to be thrilled to see you. She hasn't been happy these days for some reason, I know seeing you will make her smile' I heard Kaima say.
'Awwn, my baby'. I heard a familiar voice say , a very familiar voice making me pause in my tracks just before the arc which led to the sitting room.
'Let me go up to meet her' The voice said. Before I could make any more steps, I was met with a figure. A chill went down my spine making me shiver slightly .
'Kammy' he said before crashing me into a hug. Without thinking I pushed him off taking few steps back.

But I was far. My mind had wandered off. I kept staring hard at him.
How could he? How dare he? Waltz into my house like nothing happened? Hug me like he didn't do anything?
'Kamara? Kamara? Kammy are you okay?' I heard a voice say snapping me out of my thoughts.
I realized my whole body was trembling, and no, not just with fear, but with anger. Anger towards him, angry for the fact that he was acting all innocent when he was the viper in disguise.
'How dare you?!' I thundered
'What is your problem Kamara'? I heard Kay ask from beside him.
'You are my problem. You all are. What in the name is he doing here?' I asked.
'Kamara, this is me Caleb, is everything alright?' He asked.
'I hate you, I hate you so much!' I yelled with tears brimming my eyes.
'Hey' he said moving to touch me but I flinched. Hurt flashed through his eyes. What a liar.
'Caleb, why is she saying this to you?' Kamara asked in confusion.
'I..I don't know' he stuttered. I shook my head harshly, the tears falling down my eyes.
I tried to speak, but I couldn't bring the words out of my mouth. I felt it, I felt the sob about to spring forth so I swallowed hard.
'Kamara, did I do something, if I did I can apologize right now' He told me softly. I laughed cruelly.
'Saying a million apologies would never cover up what you did, never.'
'I don't know what I did but there could be something I could do'? He said to me. He sounded so genuine. Could have fooled me if I didn't know better.
But he sure did fool my sister and brother.

Seeing him, had opened back up the wound that seemed to be healing ever so slowly and it hurts.
It hurts so much. There's that particular pain. The one you feel when you smash your tiny little toe at the edge of the table and you hold it just to reduce the pain.
That wasn't the pain I was feeling. This one was much worse because I couldn't see a certain place to hold. The pain increases gradually and all I can do is to watch it grow and spread like an infection taking hold of my body
I sniffed loudly wiping my tears with the back of my palm. A knock sounded on my door. I ignored it, staring blankly at my pale purple wall. It came again before the sound of my door was heard opening.
Footsteps scraped my carpet floor before the door clicked lock. I knew it was one of my siblings. I wasn't in the mood for a conversation . Not now, not soon.
'So you couldn't even put yourself together huh?' I froze for a moment, on hearing who it was. Kicking my feet of the bed I stood up staggering slightly.

' Couldn't you keep your mouth shut and act like nothing happened, you know, be actually happy to see me?' he asked.
'Why are you doing this?' I asked quietly, my voice trembling slightly.
'Oh look who isn't so bold now' he mocked laughing.
'Look, just so you hear from the horses mouth, I actually knew what I was doing that night' he said.
'You thought I didn't know' I muttered. I didn't have a chance to realize what was going on before I felt a sharp sting on my cheeks.
'Shut your mouth when I'm talking' he told me firmly. I sucked in a deep breath as tears clouded my vision. Blinking , they streamed down my face.
'Ugh' he groaned. ' Don't cry yet, I mean there's time for that'. He said smiling widely.
'Look' he called grabbing my jaw harshly. 'Keep your mouth shut. Whatever you said down there, you better make up a story to tell them when they ask again. After that , keep your mouth shut!' he yelled in my face making me shut my eyes tightly.
' I trusted you so much, more than I could even trust my parents, why do you do this to me?' I asked with my eyes still closed.
'What? I'm at fault right now?' he asked in disbelief. 'look at me' he said tapping the side of my head with his empty hand.
'You wanted this Kammy, I saw the way you looked at me, I was just waiting for the right time to do it, and that night of the party was the best opportunity I could ask for. I wondered why you were refusing me when you clearly wanted it'.
'What are you saying?' I asked forcing my head out of his grip. ' You raped me Caleb. No one ever asks be raped'. I told him in anger.
' Firstly, I'll advise you watch your tone and reduce your voice. Secondly, to you it was rape, to me......it was the best night of my life,' he said happily.
'You disgust me' I told him spitting on his face.
Raising his hand to hit me, I cowered in fear awaiting the impact, but it never came.

That was the last thing he said before I heard my door bang shut.
Shrinking to the ground, I wrapped my arms over my knees as warm tears began pouring out of my eyes. My body shook terribly as the words kept repeating themselves in my head ' keep shut, keep shut'.......
