"How's the tunnel coming along, Skarloey?" Skarloey looked up from digging and grinned. Beside him, his brother, Rheneas was helping him dig the new tunnel. Both of them were covered in dust from digging.
"It's going great!" He replied. "A few more shovelfuls and the tunnel will be opened!" At this announcement, the other Narrow Gauge engines cheered, Duncan loudest of all.
"Finally! Then I'll be able to rest!" He grumbled to Ivo Hugh, who was working hard beside him. "My arms have been aching the whole time!" Ivo Hugh chuckled, continuing to work.
Despite his complaining, Duncan worked hard too, clearing the next few shovelfuls of dirt himself.
