Seline's face flushed red. She had never been humiliated like this before.
Before today she would have looked down on peasants like James, yet at this moment she couldn't. He had proven his strength. He had defeated her as easily as an adult would defeat a child, and yet even then, it seemed as if he had been simply toying with her. It hurt her pride.
"You- you! How dare you!" Seline could no longer keep it in. "Did you think you could effortlessly play me and not have me notice!"
James turned to look at her, his frost gaze seeming to pierce through her.
Seline was flabbergasted. 'How dare he look at me like that!' She puffed up her chest and stormed over to him. "Peasant - keep looking at me that way if you wish to lose your eyes!"
He didn't respond. He simply continued to stare.
Seline was furious now. Not only did he completely crush her, he now seemed to be looking down on her. She huffed. "Do you know who I am? I'm Seline Vanderheart, the sole heir to the Vanderheart Duchy. Do you think you can afford to mess with us! One call and I can have you eliminated! Do you understand you-"
"Quiet." It was but one word and a simple one at that, yet the power it held was massive. Seline found herself unable to speak or move; stuck, staring at the man before her. It didn't take long for the trance to wear off, but the fact that she was entranced at all was shameful enough..
Her face was a deep shade of red once again. "YOU DARE," she screeched. Without warning, she lifted her hand and flung it towards James face. She had lost all sense of rationality and only though about making him suffer.
But her thoughts were short lived. Instead of receiving the slap, he caught the oncoming hand, and sent back an attack of his own.

The sound of a hand hitting a cheek was abnormally loud. The girl was slightly thrown back and landed not too far away. Shock was apparent in her eyes as she lifted her hand to her swelling cheek. She'd never thought the day where a lowly peasant would dare lay hands on her would ever come... and yet it did.
"Y-You! You! You - you - you!" She couldn't think properly. The slap had rendered her silly.
James listened to her no longer, grabbing his backpack and sword.
Seeing that he was leaving, she quickly snapped out of her daze and stood up. "Where do you think you're going! You think you can just slap me and walk away! Get back here." She ran after him.
She continued to scream and rant, throwing insults and curses at his back.
James didn't even bother to turn around, only saying one word as he walked out the door.
