"It was all lies. He never loved me." I sob while I talk to Odeth, my bestfriend in the phone.
"I knew he was a jerk! Where are you Clarisse?" Odeth said. I knew she'll comfort me but I don't want to be comforted. I'll just end up crying again.
"It's okay. I want to be alone for a while." I said as I hung up on her.
Kurt and I dated and were in a relationship for almost a year and half. We also go to same school and he was known as one of the biggest jerks. We met in a restaurant and decided to hang out at that time. That's how we ended up being together. He is kind and very understanding in everything that's why we never had a serious problem in our relationship.
One thing that he only hates is a nosy person. He gets pissed if I try to check his phone or his account, but since I trust him it didn't really bother me that much.
Odeth, my bestfriend told me that there is a big percentage that he might be cheating on me because of his actions. I refuse to believe her. What can I do? I love him and I trust him. As long as I don't see any flaws then everything is alright.
It was the 5th day of December when I decided I should do a window shopping and finalize what I should get for Kurt this Christmas. I was walking when I texted him "What are you doing?" And he answered "Nothing much. Just finished taking a bath ready to sleep. gnyt."
It was ten o'clock in the evening and I find it really odd for him to sleep that early. He usually sleeps around one or two am. I just shrug this thought of mine and decided to head home.
My heart is really beating fast and I forgot how to breathe. I saw Kurt in the clock tower and Trisha, the queen bee of the rival of our school approached him. They walked hand in hand. They were walking towards me, I'm guessing they didn't saw me.
I heard them exchanging talks and greeting each other "happy anniversary".
I can't move. I want to run away and go home but I can't move. Kurt eyes met mine. His mouth open wide as if he was gasping for air. He close his mouth and put a poker face.
"Do you know her?" Trisha asked Kurt. She's famous of course she'll never know who I am since I'm just a normal person in high school.
Kurt and I stared at each other. I'm sure my gaze looks like I'm gonna cry and saying to him "How dare you." But he just smirk it was as f we talked just through staring.
"No. I don't know a person as plain as her. Besides, you're my only girl Trisha." He said without breaking our eye contact and left.
It feels like I'm underwater and I was gasping for air. Tears started to fall in my cheeks as Kurt's words sink in me. He never loved me. He's using me for a long time. I should have known. besides he's a jerk. I was wrong to trust him in the first place.
I sat in a cafe staring in my Blueberry cheesecake and green tea. Who knows how long I was here? I checked my watch to see it was 1:30 in the morning. I should really go home.
I ate my food but manage to space out after a few minutes. Good thing this cafe runs for 24 hours. My eyes sore. I think it was really red now.
"Excuse me, are you alright? Your eyes were really sore" A crew came to me and gave me a handkerchief.
"I'm sorry. Yes I'm fine. Thanks" I said as I accept the hankie and wipe my face. I looked at the window to see my reflection. Yeah it was really sore.
"I'm guessing you and your boyfriend had a fight? Damn he should not make a beautiful person cry." He said as I stare at him blankly. Such bold words.
"My name is Lucas." He smiled at me lending me his hand
"Clarisse." I shook his hand. Just across the cafe is a motel and I saw Kurt and Trisha went out of that place. I pointed at them from the window "Oh, that's my boyfriend. Well, ex-boyfriend" let out a sarcastic laugh and Lucas pull the blinds down the window.
"He's a jerk. You don't need that kind of guy." he said smiling at me. "friends? Oh and If you want to have some revenge on that jerk guy, I'll help you!"
"yes. sure." I said smiling back at him. He's really a refreshing guy. He's also good looking and kind.
After his shift we ended up strolling in the city enjoying the lights for Christmas. We also exchanged contact numbers before heading home.
The next day, Odeth and I talked about what happened about me and Kurt. It is easier to talk about it now since I talked to Lucas first about it and Odeth as my bestfriend knew something was odd.
"Who did you talk this out before me?" Her eyes glaring at me.
"Uhmm... Lucas?" I said as her eyes beamed once more.
"And who was this Lucas?" She said at me smiling smugly.
"A person I met in a cafe while I was crying myself out." I said while I stare at the floor. They should really mop it, I can see grease in it.
Odeth squeal saying the Lucas person is really a good guy and such. That's when Kurt and his friends walked by. Talk about timing.
He smirked at me while he and his friends was looking at me. "Slut." He said at my direction.
This really pissed me off and ended up talking back which I don't really do. "Too bad I'm still a virgin. Now that I think about it, You never touched my breast. Is D cup not good for you?" This received some nasty stares from his friends and a glare from Kurt.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, We heard girls started to scream and giggle. Blurting different words such as "he's so hot" , "Isn't he a model?" , "Damn ovaries just exploded" and "So fucking tempting". I swear those words.
"Eh? Do you know him Babe?" An arm was now resting in my shoulder. I know that voice. Kurt and I stared at each other for quite some time then I smirked at him.
"Nope. Never seen him before." Odeth, Lucas and I left. I raised my right hand in a fuck you as a sign of waving goodbye to Kurt. I just started a war with Kurt. This is the best revenge I ever had.
Lucas was a year ahead of us. that's the reason why never saw him in our school. We became really good friends and we hang around with each other a lot. We continue acting lovers whenever Kurt is around. There was only one problem.
As time passed, I don't think we are acting anymore.
I think... I fall for him.
When I realized what my feelings is, things started to get really awkward between us. It's because just a mere touch makes me flush! That's not even normal!
It was Christmas eve when Odeth, me and Lucas decided to have dinner. Our meeting place is in the clock tower at 12. I was on my way when Odeth texted me that She can't make it because of some sudden family dinner. That's when my heart starting beating so fast out of the blue. I am meeting Lucas in Christmas eve. Just the two of us.
I think this is the right time to tell him what I feel. Besides, I can take another heartbreak than doing a one sided love.
Lucas was already there when I arrived at the clock tower. he smiled at me when he saw me walking near him but I stopped at my tracks in a good space between us.
"Listen. This may be out of nowhere but I fell inlove with yo-" I was crushed into a hug
"I'm sorry." Lucas said to me. Tears started to form in my eyes. Guess it really hurts to be rejected.
"It's fine. I know it was really sudden and you only did that because we are frien-"
Lucas kissed me.
"I love you too. Since that day I saw you crying in the cafe. My mind kept on telling me that I want to be the one who will take care of you for the rest of my life." he again crushed me into a hug, now I was crying of joy.
This was the best Christmas I ever had. As we looked up, there was a mistletoe in the clock tower.
