I put my pencils in my backpack and I felt my heart beating really fast. She was smiling really big and to be honest I was a little afraid. The reason I said yes was… well I didn’t have anyone to sit with at lunch, but also because my brain went haywire and the word “sure” came out of my mouth automatically.
I was walking out the door with Fayth when Ms. Burtyn told us goodbye.

It was her turn to look surprised. I was homeschooled for most of my life until now, but this year I decided to go to public school and argued with my mom forever. But my dad took to my side and decided that I needed to make friends.

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I’m a little afraid of heights so I really don’t understand when people think that this stuff is cool.
I took out my lunch box that was stuffed into my backpack and Fayth did the same.
I took out the soggy turkey sandwich mom made for me to eat and sniffed it. Argh! No, nope, not a good idea.
Fayth raised one eyebrow and giggled while I was gagging and trying to get rid of the horrific thing I just smelled. I took out the chocolate chip cookie my dad baked and put in my lunch secretly.
Thankfully the cookie smelled heavenly and I took my first bite. I closed my eyes and savored the sweet goodness in my mouth. I opened my eyes and saw Fayth watching me.

OOOOOKKAAAY... hi! I know I literally took the longest break ever recorded in history but please forgive me! (and also I'm very very sorry that I left you guys on a cliffhanger-ish, yeesh I'm mean) Anyways, thank you for reading the newest installment of my book! This past HALF YEAR that I was gone for, I was not really feeling that motivated to write and only felt like reading. I finally got the inspiration to finish this chapter that I started writing, and yeah hopefully I won't disappear for such a long time again!
