Could we lie in this bower together

Until peaceful sleep become ours?

Come morning, feel free to leave

And live your life

But until then, may I ask

That you not part from my sorry side?

Never have these words been meant so sincerely

As when said now: I need you, dearly

Save me from my lonely plight

Please

Even if only for tonight
