The next morning I woke up early and got ready. I prepared Rihaan's favourite breakfast.
By this time he too got ready to leave. When I called him for breakfast, he told me that he was running out of time and ignored the breakfast. I was disappointed . I took all the pain to prepare his favourite breakfast but he never even ate it. Heart broken, I sat on the sofa sadly, with the book I bought. Though I had the book I never read a single word in it, as I was lost in my own thoughts.
But I encouraged myself not to give up on the first defeat.
So I made up my mind and opened the book to read. Only then I noticed that some pages were missing. I must have checked it in the book store itself. I did not want to go out that day because of my spoilt mood. But I must change the book.
No other options left I quickly searched for the receipt and took it along with me without fail. I locked the doors and walked towards the elevator with prayers that I must not see Jared that entire day. I waited for the elevator doors to open.
The doors opened and I entered. When I entered I found that he was inside, smiling at me. But I did not give any smile as I wanted to avoid him. My heart was shouting at me for hurting him but my mind was encouraging me to be stronger. There was no one in the elevator, except for me and him. We kept silent and I didn't want either of us to break the silence.
Once the elevator reached the ground floor, I walked towards the book store at a very fast pace to exchange the book. I didn't utter a word. I know very well that I had been doing a mistake by neglecting him. But still, I wanted to ignore him. I kept on walking and reached the bookstore. I even thought that I was doing good to Jared through my actions.
When I reached the bookstore, the admin of the bookstore apologised to me for the inconvenience and asked me to pick up a good copy of the book by myself. I moved towards the shelf where I had found that book.
Jared was standing there with the same book in his hands. He somehow knew that I had come to exchange the book. Maybe he stalked my thoughts once again. I didn't utter a word to him. I looked for another copy of the book which was not found. I stood there puzzled not knowing what to do. He quietly handed the book to me and left the place.
I exchanged the damaged book and left the book store. I wanted to look for him but I controlled myself and walked towards my apartment heavy hearted. I wanted to reach my flat as I was on the verge of crying. But I believed that I would get used to that.
I walked towards my flat. When I looked up, I found Jared waiting for me at my doorstep. I did not know what to tell him. I just opened the door, I wanted to invite him but at the same time, I must ignore him... As I was thinking...
He asked me, " Can I come in?". When he asked that question I could no longer resist him. But still, I said, "NO".
He looked at me as if he was surprised from the core. He tried to get close to me. But I stopped him with my hands though I was yearning to be touched by him. He didn't stop there. Though at first, he stared at me, he slowly removed my hands and made himself closer to me. My heartbeats once again started to race. In my mind, I was trying to control my heart and my mind from getting attracted to him.
The closer he grew towards me, I slowly started moving back. Once when he was inside my house he closed the door behind. I was not sure what he was trying to do.
All of a sudden, my mob rang. Only then I realised that I had come back to the real world. I tried to attend the call but even before I could answer, his lips touched my lips.
I tried to push him away. But he was so strong that I could not push him just like that. Still, I tried releasing myself from his kiss and pushed him away.
"Get out, Jared!"
"From your house? Or from your heart?"
"From both... I don't want to see you any longer in my life"
"Not possible. I'm not ready to leave you for your stupid decision"
I started crying, "Don't you want me to be happy?"
"Yes... I do. That's why I want to be with you. I know you are happy with me. I know your heart responds to me."
I was surprised as he knew every small detail about me. I wanted to hug him but still, I continued crying.
Seeing me crying he sat next to me silently. Immediately I could feel a cold stream in my body. Why has my body started reacting to his touch however small it is!!!!
He was very silent for a very long time. When I looked at him, I found his eyes were moist. Had he been crying?
"What happened? Why are you crying?"
"Stop neglecting me. Don't you know that I'm madly deeply in love with you? ".
I was neither happy nor sad about hearing his words. I was in a state of mind that I was incapable to answer that question. As I was sitting there not knowing what to reply to him. He hugged me suddenly. I did not want to respond to his hug, though I felt to.
He quickly moved away as he had seen the difference. He got up angrily and left my flat without saying anything. I still sat on the couch in a frozen state.
Days passed quickly. I never found Jared after that day.
On the other hand, Rihaan had become successful in his new business and as he wanted to move to the next level we both hardly spent time together. That made me worried.
One day Rihaan informed me about his business trip. He wanted me to stay at my dad's place. I readily agreed to it. As I too longed to see them.
Finally, I reached home and found that nothing had changed there except that I was allowed to go out without anyone. My parents were not interested to know more about my relationship with Rihaan. I felt that to be good as I had nothing to tell them.
One afternoon I went out to do some shopping as it has been months that I met the busy streets in my home town. There I saw Jared. I was totally shocked but behaved as if I didn't see him. I wanted to say 'hi' but I stayed away as I did not want anything to regrow.
As I was about to leave, he walked up to me and greeted me. I never expected him to talk to me. But he did that.
He invited me to the club nearby as he explained his meeting with his friend. At first, I refused his offer, but later he insisted me to accept.
After all these years, that was my first time to the club. When I entered the club it was like another world. I even enjoyed the smell. We went and sat in a corner and ordered each a drink.
He searched for some time and said that his friend had not yet arrived. He decided to wait but I wanted to leave. As I got ready to leave, I spotted the dance floor. I had wanted to dance for a long time but not then.
As I was looking at the dance floor, I felt someone drag me towards it. It was Jared. I never had danced before so I tried to escape but, he held my hands and drew me close to him.
I could feel his heated breath touch my face. My breasts were pressing his chest. He made me dance to the music of his heart.
I was supposed to ignore him but I was dancing with him. After that day, I never expected him to talk to me. But what was he doing here in my home town? As these thoughts crossed my mind, I wanted to leave the dance floor. But when I tried moving away, he pulled me closer tightening his grip.
When I stared into his eyes, he just smiled sexily giving my heart heavy flutters in rain. I enjoyed it a lot. After some time I felt so tired that, I wanted to leave to my home.
