After the mushroom tour, Tiny Wings beams between them, still carrying Jeffrey the Mushroom in her talons, and says, “You know, I’m so lucky to have two loyal dragon knights to show me amazing things!”
She nuzzles both of them playfully.
Frostbite playfully nudged her back. "Anything for you, Your Majesty."
Shadow puffed out his chest like he was about to win a tournament, wings flaring just enough to look cool but not too dramatic. “We live to serve, my queen,” he said with a sly grin, eyes flicking toward Frostbite.
Frostbite caught that look and shot one right back, a smirk tugging at his snout. “Some of us just happen to serve better.”
“Oh really?” Shadow said with a low chuckle. “Because last week I’m pretty sure it was me who stopped the boulder from falling on her majesty’s tail.”
“I distracted a Crimson Fang for her two days ago,” Frostbite countered, his voice calm but his eyes sharp.
Tiny Wings blinked between them, holding Jeffrey up between their faces. “BOYS. Jeffrey and I do not remember asking you two to compete for loyalty points.”
The mushroom pulsed softly in agreement. Or maybe that was just bioluminescence.
"Now come on. I need to find a place for Jeffrey." Tiny Wings padded ahead.
Frostbite tilted his head. "Inside... The castle?"
"Yup!"
Shadow and Frostbite looked at each other, both equally confused.
Tiny Wings flitted ahead, still holding Jeffrey the Mushroom like it was her most precious possession. Shadow and Frostbite exchanged a look, brows furrowed in synchronized confusion.
“You don’t seriously think she’s gonna be allowed to bring that thing inside the throne hall, do you?” Frostbite muttered.
“It’s Tiny Wings. She could bring in a flaming goat, and the guards would hold the door open for her,” Shadow replied with a grin.
Frostbite rolled his eyes. “She is the queen. But sometimes I wonder if anyone remembers that part.”
Meanwhile, Tiny Wings reached the gates of the Castle and chirped happily at the two towering guards, Moss and Sable.
“Hi! I have a guest today!” she sang.
Moss and Sable peered down.
Then blinked.
At the mushroom.
Sable opened his mouth to protest. Moss whispered, “Just let her in. You wanna be the guy who tells the Solstice Inferno Queen she can’t have her glowy fungus friend?”
Sable swallowed and nodded, stepping aside.
Tiny Wings flounced inside like she was leading a royal procession, proudly holding up Jeffrey. “Come along, noble knights! The castle must meet my child!"
Reef choked on his drink. "Child?" he wheezed.
"Haha! You choked on your nectar!" Splash laughed.
Reef slapped his fin on Splash's snout. "Not..." Reef coughed. "...funny!"
Tiny Wings trotted ahead, humming a little tune as she bounced through the corridors. She reached a grand wooden door and opened it with a grand flourish, as if she were unveiling a treasure chest.
“Ah, my private chamber! Where I keep all my important stuff,” she said, stepping inside.
She set Jeffrey carefully on a velvet cushion by her bed, smoothing out the fabric like it was a prized relic.
“Perfect spot for my child, don’t you think?” Tiny Wings asked with a grin.
Shadow forced a grin. "Yeah... Perfect." He slapped Frostbite with his wing.
"Oh—uh, um, yes! Wonderful, Your Majesty!" Frostbite stammered.
Frostbite and Shadow jumped as they heard a dragon clear their throat behind them. They turned around. It was Aurora!
"Hey guys!"
"Hey!" Shadow purred
"How was the festival in Astoria?" Shadow asked.
Aurora spun in a circle. "It was super fun!"
"Hi Aurora!" Tiny Wings chirped.
Aurora perked, her tail swayed excitedly behind her as Tiny Wings approached. "Tiny Wings!"
"Did you see Coal?" Tiny Wings asked.
Aurora nodded. "Uh-huh! He's a Knight now!"
Tiny Wings gasped. "Really?"
Aurora nodded eagerly. "Yeah, yeah! And get this, the king almost got assassinated, but it was fine!"
Shadow rolled his eyes.
"Oh! There's something I want to show you!" Tiny Wings chirped.
Frostbite had the straightest face.
Aurora followed Tiny Wings to the glowing mushroom. Tiny Wings puffed her chest proudly.
"His name is Jeffrey!" Tiny Wings purred, nuzzling the mushroom. "He's my child."
Aurora crouched down to the mushroom. "Hi Jeffery! ...Not very talkative, is he?" Aurora blinked. "You know, I once saw a mushroom explode. Not like kaboom explode, but like, it puffed. Puffed this weird green mist, and my cousin sneezed glitter for three days. Do you think Jeffrey does that?"
Tiny Wings shrugged. "I'm pretty sure if he did, he would have already."
Aurora tilted her head. "Oh."
"She didn't lick that thing, did she?" Frostbite whispered to Shadow.
Shadow shrugged, his eyes wide. "I hope so."
Frostbite shot Shadow a glare. "You hope so?"
"Well, if it is the hallucinatory effects from the mushroom, at least we'll know our queen isn't losing her mind."

Solara huffed. "She can't seriously be doing a better job than me....can she?"
Lumis's eyes narrowed. "What do you think? She's been in power for nearly 15 years now! She's been at this since she was a dragonet! It's a surprise Draconia has plummeted into chaos yet."
"Yet..." Solara echoed silently in a dark tone.
Solara turned to Lumis with a smirk. "I think we just found our way back in, brother."
Lumis tilted his head. "How?"
"Simple. If Draconia won't go into chaos, then we'll make it go into chaos," Solara replied.
"But, Solara, there are guards all around the borders—"
"So we'll find someone outside the borders. You should know Lumis, Tiny Wings's greatest strength is also her greatest weakness."168Please respect copyright.PENANAjAwIBUGFVy
