It was in the scorching desert heat that it was discovered. The thing discovered was an important thing, for sure. It was a hole. Upon further inspection, it had something shiny in it. Gold.
“Wow.” Jarre gasped.
“What is it…OH MY ASTOLFO!” Phillup heaved as he saw what Jarre was looking at.
Gold. It was gold. Gold. Jarre bent down and dusted off the dirt around a large hunk of the gold that was just near the surface. 255Please respect copyright.PENANAo4XvfAFOWr

“Gold.” Phillup muttered to himself in awe.
He grasped the hunk of gold and pulled. It didn’t budge.
“Come help me!” Jarre ordered.
Phillup came to the side of the gold, one foot stepping into the hole as they tried again. It didn’t budge.
“We’re gonna need some better equipment.” Jarre said.
The 2 got on their horses and rode off. 255Please respect copyright.PENANAwjtUOtHtqk

“GOLD! WE’LL BE RICH!!” Phillup excitedly explained to his wife.255Please respect copyright.PENANAgNuEL6aVzw
“Phillup! You said the pickaxes were here! They aren’t! Where are the g*ming pickaxes!” Jarre said in annoyance as he rummaged in the basement of Phillup’s house.255Please respect copyright.PENANAMWz0cmh2mH
Phillup’s wife, who was reading Murders in the Rue Morgue in the newspaper, looked up from her newspaper and said:255Please respect copyright.PENANAh2ICdQSInZ

Jarre ran upstairs with 2 pickaxes, and handed one to Phillup. The 2 men exited the house and got back on their horses. They rode off again, this time going the direction they came. It was night and cloudy by the time they got back, and they noticed the hole had gotten much bigger since they first saw it. It was enormous now, big enough to fit an entire locomotive inside it, cars and all, and still have room. The 2 men peered down the hole. It looked like a big, black, empty void. Then, the clouds blocking the moon parted, and the hole shined bright, and the 2 men closed their eyes and yelped. The moon was covered by passing clouds again, and the glowing subsided. It returned to being a void. Jarre paced up to the hole and stepped in. There was a ramp-like slope the ground inclined to that Jarre stepped on, allowing him to have a sturdy stance. He raised his pickaxe up and hit the hole’s wall. It clanked, and a small chunk of it fell off. He picked it up. 255Please respect copyright.PENANA2IcX37Op0k
