The first time I saw you,

My heart didn’t want you,

Need you

Or even care for you.

I'm a person who needs love,

But you never showed love

To me.

Always to them.

I was nothing to you.

You don’t know it

But you used to be my life.

My heart was always yours.

But you never wanted it.

I’ve cried my eyes out

Every night

Waiting

Hoping

For you to be here.

When you came

I was scared it was a dream

I was scared to sleep.

Scared to even blink

So you wouldn’t disappear

You liked her

Forgot me

Hated me

Offended me.

But I couldn’t hate you.

Love is ugly

Love is destruction

Love is pain.

You made me this way

But you can’t pay for it

Because you never cared.

And you never knew.

That all of this is my secret.
