“What is going to happen to the boy and his sister?”140Please respect copyright.PENANAU7is1wCiSH
This was the question in the air. Everyone talked about it, leaving the 12-year-old boy and his sister in a room, with an aunt of the boy, explaining to him and his sister that God needed their parents more than them. Raghav listened to her, but without shedding a tear from his eyes — unlike his sister, who would cry occasionally.140Please respect copyright.PENANAWas473ZHXQ
He looked out of the window, staring at the cloudless sky. He would, now and then, see a bluebird at the still of the window, who flew when she thought she was being pried on by some human. He would often hear the cry of the nightingale.140Please respect copyright.PENANAiobxDwBjjo
He remembered his father showing him his collection of novels and stamps all day long, sometimes trodding with him to the low crescent hills. His mother would cook for the family, play, beat and love him and his sister, who would often steal toys from her brother. How would they eat together, his mother preparing mouth-watering dishes, while his father would crack jokes or would tell the tales of how he and Raghav’s mother met for the first time.140Please respect copyright.PENANADp3ZmHpwQF
A single drop of tear rushed out of his eyes. The accident shattered his soul. His sister hugged him, filling the vacuum a bit, created by the death of their parents. He felt a little warm by the hugging of his sister, which he did the same by hugging her. He would look around the room, remembering the memories created by him and his parents.140Please respect copyright.PENANArDUJ8G3NNp
In the evening, he saw a small procession taking his parents to the cemetery. They were both forbidden to go to the procession as they wouldn’t be able to see their mom and dad end like this. His sister, tired of crying, slept after a crying spell, but not Raghav.140Please respect copyright.PENANAz0ov0RxjBa
He looked out of the window, at the sun setting behind the clouds, the birds giving their last call till they went to their nests. Bats would scream continuously. Pleasant breeze would blow eventually, indicating rain somewhere. He embraced the chill but warming breeze.140Please respect copyright.PENANAeX5giLPxod
No one was in the house, save for the cook and the maids, who would soon quit their jobs as no one is there to pay them anymore in this house.140Please respect copyright.PENANAFdi9mlIcHD
Suddenly, something was screaming inside of Raghav, like a beast in a cage. He wasn’t able to explain the feeling… or even feel it. But later, like rain after a heavy lightning, he cried uncontrollably.140Please respect copyright.PENANAVjcYeQBA2d
He cried for hours until his sister woke up, consoling her brother, took him to his bed, where he slept, and dreamt a dream later — a dream which will never come back.
