He was one the Beat writers.If you've ever watched the film,"Naked Lunch", that's his crime.But the movie hardly even touched on the utter depravity of the man's psyche,it wouldn't have been permissable.The book "Naked Lunch" is not for the weak of heart.You've been fore warned.I myself couldn't finish it.The easy rock band ,Steely Dan,took their name from an evil device in Burroughs strange warped fantasy...it was a metal cone or something that you could fit over your dick and fuck a guys ass to a bloody pulp...that was just one small part of hell...I guess a lot of what happens in the novel,if you can call it that, happened to him in real life,only he turned it into fantasy.Kiki,his homosexual lover in Morocco,was butchered one day by some one in the city who didn't like fags.Cut up like a ribbon and left to die in the gutter.They didn't fuck with Burroughs because he was known to carry a pistol and had a reputation for using it.After all,his self imposed exile started in Mexico City when he drilled a bullet into his wife's head after a drunken tiff and he never recovered from it... I just remember in the movie that Kiki was ass fucked by a monster who sucked his brains out...you could say that the mysterious forces which had resulted in the boys murder in Tangiers took shape and became shadowy creatures in the novel...In  the "Collected Letters of William Burroughs",mostly written to Allen Ginsberg,he holds nothing back.And trust me, nothing he ever wrote was as illuminating as those letters.Do yourselves a favor and Google "The Collected Letters of William Burroughs."The Secret to Existence is some where  in there...I had a chance to see him give a lecture at the University in Detroit one day when I was in rehab but I didn't know who he was at the time and didn't bother ..Fuck!!!!! 8964 copyright protection10ＰＥＮＡＮＡupG1XflGLu 維尼
