Chapter four || Memories for Leisure

I don't remember much from the old world. I know I lived that way for a long time, before the world changed. But it feels like things have always been this way. I have always had a sole companion, and we have always been free.

I wonder if they have memories. They seem to recognize random items. An old book, a certain make of chair. They like to stay close to these items or collect them.

They like the past. I don't. I want to forget, but it's impossible. Part of me will keep remembering how things were.
