There was a sound of beeping on the left, making the sound of regular, calming rhythm.

Darkness was everywhere and couldn't find the light. The sound of whispering was heard from the distance, but couldn't make the words out. There was a sound of something closing in the background and the whispers were no more.

I felt myself moving ever so slightly, finally able to feel my body from the numbness of my slumber, which a slight groan escaped from my throat. I opened my eyes slightly and saw bright lights.
732Please respect copyright.PENANArqc77uPsf8
I quickly closed them and opened again, trying to adjust to the light. I blinked a few more times, realizing I was in a white room, laid down and facing towards the ceiling.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAMROeAMYDDW
I felt my head was on something soft and puffy. I was tucked away, under the duvet moving my legs a bit, trying to put some sense into them. My arms were above the duvet.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAN6GnIn3Inp
I looked at my left arm. I noticed I had a bandage going around it and a needle sticking out of my left hand. I wire was coming out from it, heading to somewhere behind me. I cringed at the sight and looked down my other arm. It was full of cuts and bruises, along with some stitches, which were oddly healing up quickly. I didn't take that much notice, as I was trying to sit up, using both my hands to try and push myself.

"Well someone is finally awake," a voice was heard somewhere to my right.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAKt5932B1Fx
I quickly turned my head towards the direction, when I noticed an older woman was stood there. She had olive type skin and looked as though she was in her late forties, hair tied up in a messy bun. She had dark eyes, with some wrinkles around them and thin pink lips. She was wearing a pink uniform, the type nurses would wear but a different shade instead; lighter perhaps? Did she want to be different? She was wearing white shoes that seemed to blend in with the rest of the white room. She also wore a white pocket watch, hanging from her left breast pocket. Could I hear the ticking from the watch, at that distance?

I tried moving slightly, pushing myself to sit up against the pillow behind me. I looked ever so slightly, to observe the woman in front of me. I opened my mouth. I tried talking, but it felt sore and started coughing.

The woman quickly strolled over to me, picked up a glass and poured water from a jug, from the nearest table. How long I out for was, I wondered.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAuC06Smtglm
"Here, you'll be need this," she said.
732Please respect copyright.PENANARVsXwfH2TD
I grabbed the glass from her hands and gulped every single drop of water and my throat had never felt so good in all my life.
732Please respect copyright.PENANACOL1vSQQIq
"Careful! You do not want to choke on that," she eyed me, while her eyes gave me quite a fright.
732Please respect copyright.PENANARhpnMOI1H5
I slowly gave the glass back to her, not knowing what other outburst will be.
732Please respect copyright.PENANABvhuHRN7BY
I closed my eyes tightly, trying to shake the dizziness off from me.
732Please respect copyright.PENANA3PwOlwXcme
"Where am I?" I asked, wondering if I'm in a nightmare or woke up in heaven. I knew I was in some kind of hospital but I was unsure where.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAYU6Jz9FIKE
"You're at Clinton College's Hospital."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAOweRm9TLlT
Immediately, I opened my eyes and viewed the nurse with my eyes popping out from my skull, "what?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANA5yY2vmMCxJ
She sighed and walked over to get a thermometer from the other side of the room.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAzRfvyQ7wjD
"I knew you'd asked that," she shook her head and sighed, "You're still at college, but you're in hospital, which is connected to it."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAw7jRtYSP8R
"There's a hospital in the College? How can they afford that? Where about is this hospital?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAy0c8yohZhU
She put her hands up to stop me, when I realized I was shooting questions at her. Then I remembered that I don't normally ask questions unless I need to. I hate being nosy.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAaDoLUxH2aY
"First of all, yes there is hospital at this college. In fact, it has been here for many years and since before you were born. Clinton College can provide the hospital, due to the fact it's a private school, meaning they can afford it. With this, both the students and the College being so far out from the main town and hospital, it was only necessary to have one," she walked back over me, slowly as if she was looking for something wrong with me, "it's located on second floor of the main building, where the reception and library are. I have got my own small office on ground floor, just next door to the reception for quick appointment or therapy sessions, if people are wanting, whereas here in my mini hospital.

She placed the thermometer carefully into my mouth, while I quickly viewed the space; everywhere was white, while the beds had a cream duvet on them and the curtains around per bed, were sky blue but each curtain were pulled to one side of the wall; the left side. There were machines such as life supporting ones were beside every bed. As I turned my head slightly to my left, there were two doors leading to two different rooms. One said 'Private' while the other read 'Office only'.

"Who are you?" I murmured.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAi71KTZHnYr
"My name is Ferah. I am the nurse and first aider here at Clinton College. I will be here whenever you are ill or are needed. And please don't talk while you have a thermometer in your mouth. I am trying to see if your temperature is good."
732Please respect copyright.PENANA1f9sE4oMJT
Ferah, that's such a unique name. It was beautiful. I didn't notice but Ferah seemed to have some sort of accent yet I couldn't pin point it out and that was going to bug me.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAK9gFtRBpVo
After a few moments, she took the thermometer out of my mouth I asked, "How long was I out for?" I questioned, craving to know the answer.
732Please respect copyright.PENANA5zmtCYEjuU
The woman looked up at me, observing me, with curiosity and confusion across her face. I kept a blanked face and just sat there, waiting what seemed like forever.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAHxg5bn48u6
She blinked a couple of times and swallowed, "you've been out for three days."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAqZcL8fT0aS
I quickly shook my head in confusion, "Wait, what?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAioL1HQE59J
She sighed and placed the thermometer on the bedside table and turned around at me, looking at me dead in the eye, "You've been in a coma for over three days straight and just woken up, which would have been nearly four days, if you would have been out longer."
732Please respect copyright.PENANA33hguyt7uQ
I didn't realize but I started to breath heavily and could no longer focus on her face but looked at my bed, with my hands in between my legs on top of the duvet, "what day is it?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAQFuFULuKw2
"Friday," she replied.
732Please respect copyright.PENANA0h6e3xxsAc
It's the end of the week, already?
732Please respect copyright.PENANAYzgICqWJyn
"Where is everyone?" My voice started to rise and began to panic; I was the only one in the room. I looked back to Ferah and looked dead in her eye, "How is everyone? Damon? Jack? Max?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAndN6ybHtNU
I notice Ferah started to back away from me a little, thinking I was going to lose control, instead she was looking back at the thermometer.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAA3YYGxWzM4
"You seem better. Far better than I expected."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAwjy9Ttzf7J
"Where are my friends?" I exhaled with some force, with a hint of angriness. Why was she avoiding my question?
732Please respect copyright.PENANAM9SHqZy8iI
She looked back at me and viewed me before answering. Why did she keep looking at me, with worried eyes?
732Please respect copyright.PENANA8TCyRpyvRo
"You're friends...they woke up before you. Damon, he woke Wednesday. He too was asking questions," she laughed a little, "and Jack and Max both woke up yesterday. They all seemed happy when they woke..."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAK5loabfVGN
However what happened, I wondered.
732Please respect copyright.PENANA9LbukaKsJe
"But they all said where their injuries were; their broken bones, why they all healed quickly, including you and how they feel much better."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAToR5rAVn1o
"The injuries!" I screamed, recalling that I had a broken leg and arm was torn into pieces, "my leg...it's not broken..."
732Please respect copyright.PENANA0kYxT1XAEm
I was deeply confused, staring at my leg, which was under the duvet. I moved it a little, noticing I didn't feel no pain at all. I gulped in misperception. I remember the blood, the fire, the broken bones, our cries...I remember the pain.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAsz5a3fFGD4
"But I defiantly had a broken leg and a broken arm! My arm was open; it was in pieces," I cried, pleading to her that I am telling the truth, "Jack, his side was open! I saw the flesh! Damon and Max were helping us get away from the monster! They put themselves in danger!"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAiGYHlVKXwW
"Lucy! Please calm down! Nothing extremely major like that happened! The smoke must've gotten to your head and hallucinating, whatever you saw. The lack of oxygen in your brain would have helped you create such a vision."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAmWZzCBlZ1Y
"But I'm not lying!"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAo7WKnRkPbz
"Then where are these wounds?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANABVK0Ue2gz5
My eyes widened and whispered, "The Wolf-Man...there was a monster there."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAfoZbDqclVI
"There is no such thing as the "Wolf-Man". No one was in that building apart from you four."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAO9hgcZ3tSC
"Then the fire...was that true?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAuxlbqlSogx
"Yes. There was a fire and you foolishly ran back into the building! Are you sure you're feeling better? Are you sure you didn't bump you head? You can stay for another night."
Nevertheless, everything seemed so real...so why didn't I have the evidence, that monster had nearly shredded our bodies apart?
732Please respect copyright.PENANAhex5U2N22K
"No," I replied, "I want to sleep in my own bed. Please."
732Please respect copyright.PENANA2eX0n9UAWr
Ferah nodded, but still seemed to be on edge around me, thinking I was going to do something horrific to her.
732Please respect copyright.PENANABhbUA6w9Kg
It was 8:45pm by the Ferah was finished with me. I didn't want to see anyone and thought it was best to see them tomorrow.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAckCTpshxyZ
I walked quietly to my room when I noticed Shannon was in front of my door, hunch beside the door, asleep.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAE6Vws5ML0h
"Shannon?" I whispered, nudging her slightly by her right shoulder, "Shannon, wake up."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAvZ8izmiCI4
Shannon mumbled ever so slightly and started to move.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAlLSnKuEyw2
"A-Amy?" she says as she awoke, rubbing her eyes with her hands, before looking up at me, "Amy! You're awake!"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAna1FiMJ5co
Shannon jumped up and squished me, receiving a hug from her, "You're here. You're actually awake, finally!" She pulled away from me, observing me fully, "You look great! I'm so happy! How do you feel?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANABgRA58To01
"I feel much better, great in fact. I think Ferah has done an excellent job on keeping me better, to be honest," I replied as I moved around her to get access to my door, "How is everyone?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAZwDCDtPx2U
I eyed Shannon, to which she hesitated and looked at the floor that seemed to be more interested all of a sudden.
732Please respect copyright.PENANATsBA8JdR6r
"Shannon?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAyqb4AVu25m
"Jack, Max and Damon...they're alright. They are much better," she stuttered, "but something about them has changed. They said that can't explain it," she said, while looking at me, with her eyes full of sadness which I have never seen before. Her brows were frowning, and she looked as if she wants to cry.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAybSgCi4Ckq
"Lucy, they said that once you're awake, they want to talk to you. They want to know if you have felt anything different. They...don't seem like themselves, ever since the fire. It's extremely worrying. It's as if the fire incident has changed them somehow. Please, could you see them?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAjMcu35XBHX
I looked at her face and it hasn't changed at one bit. I wanted to tell her everything will be ok, but I didn't want to lie to her, just in case. I hate liars.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAHKqhqfYbl6
"Yes, of course, Shannon. Tomorrow I'll have a talk with them tomorrow and see what has come about. I'm going to bed now since I'm feeling a little drowsy."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAkU5jqKE4b5
"That's ok. I wanted to see you before you went to bed," she grinned.
732Please respect copyright.PENANAjY7TNSDl16
"By the way, why were you sat outside my door?"
732Please respect copyright.PENANAsgYN2OoHiM
Shannon gave away a right girly giggle and said, "Because I heard you talking to Ferah. Don't worry I never heard what you said, just you're voice and figured you were awake."
732Please respect copyright.PENANAadlcwyK9BQ
Once I said my goodnights to Shannon, I was already in bed. And just before I fell asleep, I heard a scream, somewhere in the distance.
732Please respect copyright.PENANA93VTtjQzKA
Was the real or was that just my imagination? I couldn't of heard that from afar.
