Poems of the Heart - Have you Met that One

I wrote this before, in another time,

Not these words, nor this rhyme,

And I want to suppress all, trap it in a net,

I wish I didn't go through it again, and yet;

Here I sit again, having met Her,

Who causes time to blur.

Whose amazing and different,

And away my mind has went.

The time spent with Her is a delectable taste,

I always hope that I'm not a waste.

She has given me her eyes, her ears,

I want to give memories for years.

But I feel like I've given nothing at all,

Just holes for her brain to fall.

I want to know more from she,

But does she need more from me?

From dusk to dawn, we'd sit and talk

I wish I was more confident for a walk.

From morn to morn, she'd learn my life,

But I feel like I'd caused more strife.

These feelings are unbalanced, how long will they last?

Will I still feel the same, even when time has passed?

Towards she, who helped me reclaim this quill,

To her, for her, here's this spill.

Last time I was here, I got nothing, just quiet,

And my feelings I grab, bagged and tied it.

It's unfair, and unjust, I feel so wrong,

For I'm weak and selfish, never strong.

Thanks for your ears, each of you a friend,

I hope now, the unrest will end.
