我在替角色命名時，通常考慮兩個面向：

1.我希望角色像「我們身邊的普通人」還是「幻想人物」？

2.名稱應該呼應「劇情」還是「角色的個性」？

我認為故事的風格、主打的特色，可藉由角色名字提醒讀者。

例如營造真實感的故事，我會使用類似真實人物的名字。如果想強調角色的個性，可以使用與角色性格(或故事中的行為)截然相反的名字，當作小衝突。

在替某個幻想故事主角命名時，則使用了有負面花語，一般人不會使用的花來命名。此時命名是為了呼應主題，和角色的個性反而無關了。
